I love Christmas Eve and this year was a fun one! We started the day off by visiting Santa Claus. This Santa is seriously the best I've ever seen! Charlie and Joey loved him. Charlie went right up to him and wanted to sit on his lap. Joey just stared and was completely mesmerized by this man with a beard he wanted pull.

Later that day, Charlie and I made gingerbread houses. This is one of my favorite traditions!
Charlie was much more interested in eating the goodies than using them to decorate, but he did enjoy having his own piping bag.
That night we opened up our Christmas pajamas and a movie (Tarzan) from Papa and Grandma Messer. We brought our dinner into the family room and watched our movie while eating on a big blanket.

After the movie it was time for bed! We put the boys down and got to work...
Until now, we had kept all the presents hidden in order to keep Charlie from unwrapping them. It was so exciting to see all the presents under the tree!
Christmas Eve will always be the most exciting night of the year!

I feel the same way--Christmas Eve is the most exciting night of the year! I can't believe how big Joey is getting! He definitely is looking more and more like you. And Charlie has to be one of the only kids I know who isn't afraid of Santa! Lucky mommy :)
