Peter at 5 Months

Peter is 5 months...what in the world?!  I was looking at past pictures and he has already changed so much in just a couple of months.

he has long toes...just like his dad

Peter at 5 months...

eats baby food 2-3 times a day!  So far he's had rice cereal, carrots, banana & sweet potatoes.  This week I'm making more for the freezer!  He loves eating baby food and when I drop a small amount of water, from a straw, into his mouth.

is so close to sitting up on his own!  He can sit up on his own for periods of time, but usually falls over when he's playing with a toy.

does not like to be alone.  That's probably because he rarely is!  He plays great on his own, but always wants to be able to see someone.

has turned into a pretty good sleeper!  He always needs a nap in church so I'll swaddle him and put him down on a blanket.  He'll sleep like that for at least an hour even with all the noise.

used to have one crazy long hair.  Seriously, it was probably 5 inches long and at times it would stick straight up.  It sounds ridiculous but I loved that little hair!  It was from his little patch of hair that stuck straight up in the back when he was born.  We finally trimmed it.  Goodbye little hair!  It made me laugh everyday.

loves to watch his daddy.  When Tony gets home from work Peter's eyes are glued to him.  It's pretty funny that during dinner, even if I'm feeding him baby food, Peter's eyes are hard on Tony.  It must be because Tony is so cute ;)

is starting to be called Petey.  Sometimes.  Here's the thing- I love the name Peter.  I love it for an adult & a baby.  I really don't want him to go by a nickname when I love his real name so much. (and because Charlie & Joey only go by their nicknames)  But I hear Joey called Peter "Petey" at times and it just melts my heart.  As of right now, he's mostly Peter & sometimes Petey.

We love our sweet Peter!

After the Party

We took the presents outside after Joey's birthday party.  Tony and I took these great pictures of Joey & Peter.  I just had to post them!

Peter's Blessing Day

Well, Peter is officially the 3rd child: it has taken me over 3 months to blog about his blessing day.  Even then I'm not sure where all the pictures from that day are, but now is the time for me to finally get it done!

We blessed Peter Lawrence on Easter 2014.
It was a wonderful day and I appreciate all of our family that was able to attend.
He wore the same outfit as his brothers.  I love this sweet blessing outfit!  It is so special to me.
I love hearing my children be blessed by their father.  I feel so much love for them and our family as a whole.  I'm lucky I get to be the mother of these sweet spirits!

I had several people taking notes from his blessing and I'm so happy to have them!  I believe these are personal and special so they aren't something I'll post.

After the blessing we had a lunch at our home.  Here are a few pictures from that afternoon...

We love our Peter and all of our extended family!  Special day.

Cedar City Trip Part 2

On Saturday we packed lunches and drove into the mountains to hike around Cascade Falls.  The first hike we did had a lot of trees and a great trail.  The kids did really great!  Joey took a ride on someone's shoulders the majority of the time (otherwise we would have been there until dark!) We hiked a while and made a stop for lunch.  Here are some pictures from our first hike...

 great view!

 stopping for lunch

We came back down after lunch, refilled water bottles and went on our second hike! This hike was on the side of the mountain and all rock.  It was pretty awesome!

After hiking we stopped off at a creek and let the kids cool off in the water.

That night we left all the kiddos home with the super babysitters- Maya, Brynn & Cambridge!  Adults went out to dinner...I can't imagine what it would be like to have a kid old enough to babysit!
After dinner we came home and our little family gave Papa his birthday presents & had brownies with ice cream.  Sunday morning we packed up all our stuff, had brunch at Sandi's and drove home!

We sure love our family.  It was a great trip!

Cedar City Trip Part 1

Last month we took a long weekend in Cedar City.  Teri's family was visiting from Florida so it was the whole family together!  That hasn't happened since our wedding, I think?  It was a great time and I loved seeing all the cousins together.

Charlie & Beckett have a special bond.  Charlie loves his Beckett!

We did lots of fun things while we were there!  The first night we had dinner at grandma's and went bowling. The following day Teri picked up Chad at the airport while we took all the cousins to the aquatic center.  This place was awesome!  We had a blast.

All the cousins taking a a pool break with some treats!

We came home, showered & got ready for the green show at the Shakespeare festival.

Watching the show!
Lots of music, dancing & sword fighting.  Of course my boys loved it!

After the show, the boys took kiddos home and the grown up girls went to...

Sense and Sensibility!  Mom treated us to the show and it was very kind.  I loved it!  The acting was phenomenal and it was a great show to see live. I would love to go back and see another show next year.
