Joey's birthday took forever to get here. He had celebrated his birthday in May with his preschool class and that just confused him. For months he talked about how he was going to have a Darth Vader party, but then changed his mind to Avengers. We talked about the different cakes I could do and he decided on the Captain America shield. I think it turned out pretty awesome! He loved it.
Joey handed out his birthday invitations the week before and was SO excited and darling on each doorstep. His friends came over on Saturday afternoon for super hero games, cake and presents. We had a few different stations....

After the games we went inside for cake and ice cream. Look at all these cute kiddos!
Joey was so excited to open his presents! He was thrilled with each one and was so fun to watch.
Being 4 is a serious job.
