Christmas Parade

waiting for the parade to begin
This morning we went to the Bentonville Christmas Parade.  This was our first time going and I don't know what our deal has been the last few years we've been here!  The longer we live here, the more I fall in love with this place.

The parade started at 11 and would go down main street and end in the square.  We arrived at the library (on main street), early, to get a good parking spot and spend some waiting time checking out books.  We marked our spot, across the street, with the double stroller and chairs.  The boys played in the grass and I went to the library cafe to get hot chocolate for us.  It was chilly, but not cold--probably low 50's?  I know, we're spoiled.  However the downside is that it doesn't really feel like Christmas.

 Some pictures of the parade...

I loved this church group--"A Church for Cowboys"
Awesome.

 I love marching band drums

It was a great parade.  The boys loved it.  Joey sat completely still and wide-eyed for the first 10 minutes.  Charlie waved and said, "Merry Christmas!" as floats and people walked by.  So fun!  We won't miss this again!

Yep, your experience was much more pleasant than ours. Next time I'll consult you on where I should sit with two kids under the age of 3.....where we won't get trampled by grannies and pre-teen boys yelling out cat calls to all the girls that pass by.

Wish we were there. The more I learn about your town the more I think we should move & join you!!

How fun! We love the Christmas parades here, too. And I love that Christmas parades exist...seriously did I just miss out while I was growing up or do they not have them in Utah? It's probably the warm climate that makes it possible. I agree with you about it not feeling like Christmas--it was 68 yesterday for us! You win some, you lose some I guess :). Your family is so fun!

I love how Charlie always looks so happy in his pictures. His little tooth-filled smile melts me. You guys are the cutest family ever! Miss you guys!
