Bessman the Elf

This year Nana sent us the Elf on the Shelf tradition.  We started about two weeks before Christmas and Charlie was completely captivated by the idea.  We read the book as a family and asked Charlie what we should name our elf?  He chose, "Bessman."  Yep, Bessman--not Bessmin or Bessmen--BessMAN.  It was random, but he stuck with it so we did too.

Bessman flew to the North Pole every night.  He told Santa how the boys behaved during the day and if there were specific things they wanted for Christmas.  Each morning Charlie would wake up and look for Bessman.  Sometimes, before bed, he would run to Bessman and say, "I want bucky."(bucky is a pirate ship that he wants for Christmas)

Bessman was a silly elf!  We found him doing silly things each morning....

He toilet papered our tree

Snuck into Christmas cereal

Took down our stockings and put up Charlie's underwear

Left us pictures

Got in a fight with Captain America

and just hung around in crazy places...

On his last night here (the night before Christmas Eve), we woke up to Bessman having a farewell party with Charlie's stuffed animals.

Bessman went back to the North Pole, with Santa, on Christmas Eve.

We'll see you next year, Bessman!
