This past weekend was so wonderful. Our family watched the LDS general conference (click here to learn more). General conference is one of my favorite times of year so I'm glad it happens twice!
Taking notes helps me pay attention so I wrote down the thoughts, feelings and key points that I heard.
I began conference with these questions:
- How can we have the Spirit in our home?
- What do my children need to learn from me?
- How can my family be a light to those around us?
- What does the Lord want me to do on earth?

Throughout the conference I had all of these questions answered specifically. I'm planning to use these questions as topics for family home evenings & personal study in the upcoming weeks. I'm grateful for the leaders of the church and their ability to receive revelation on what needs to be heard by us all.
A few of my favorite points:

- Children will not fear if they know who they are and that Heavenly Father loves them....The world will teach your children if you do not... What you want your children to know in five years, you need to teach them today. --Sister Wixom
- Find out what the Lord wants you to do and do it... Your power to trust God will grow as you do what He asks. He will then begin to trust you.--Pres. Eyring
- When morality is involved you must always speak up.... Fortify your home with family prayer, scripture study, family dinner, one on one interviews with your children and family home evenings...The Lord is counting on valiant parents. --Brother Larry Lawrence

Cute!! Conference was great, I need to finish watching it.
