Family Update

I can't believe October has already come and gone!  October was a really busy month for our family.  It seemed we had something big going on every weekend (Charlie's birthday, Halloween, yard project, family pictures, etc).  November and December are the months we have been looking forward to pretty much all year!  We're counting down the days to Thanksgiving when we have a little vacation visiting some of my extended family.  We can't wait!
A little family update:
Charlie is definitely not my little baby anymore....  He is ALL toddler.
He is learning to push the limits and enjoys doing things when you tell him not to.  Not quite sure what to do about it, but I'm doing my best!

I've been meaning to post these two pictures for a while.  Charlie's grandpa made him this duck for his birthday and he loves pushing it around.  He carries it everywhere!

This morning I was giving him yogurt for breakfast and he started grinding his teeth.  I hate that sound!  I told him "no" and after that it was a nonstop production of Charlie grinding his teeth  (each time looking at me as if to say, "are you going to say no?").  I'm just ignoring it now but I have chills down my back from the sound.

Can you believe this little guy loves to be naughty?
 Tony and I:
Tonight Tony and I are actually going on a date without Charlie!  I've been lazy about getting babysitters so tonight is very exciting.  We're getting Greek food and going to a movie--at the movie theater.  Yes, it is VERY exciting.  We used to go to the theater all the time!

I'm loving this fall.  With so many trees and farmlands where we live, the changing colors are breathtakingly beautiful.  I'm going to be sad when we're stuck inside due to ice storms!

We took our family pictures a couple weeks ago and the ones I've seen so far turned out great!  I'll have to post pictures on here if I can!

he looks like the most adorable little monkey to me! :) (your mom told me about his award at the halloween party.)

ignore what you don't feel strongly about, and put him in time out when you do. he'll figure it out eventually. just don't let him see you crying in the other room for feeling like a mean mom! :) its just part of the job.
