I did it! I finished my first 5k and it was awesome. It was quite a crowd with over 600 participants. I set the goal to run the entire thing and I did.
Tony and a sleeping Charlie were there to greet me at the end.
After the race was over, Tony and I were ready for dinner and Charlie was going to be ready to eat soon. We headed home even though the awards were taking place later. While we were making dinner my friend called and told me I had won 3rd place in my age category! They even had a medal for me. I'm so sad I missed that!!! She picked it up for me and I plan on wearing it around the house when I get it :)

Megs, that is awesome! Signing up for races is the only way I can get motivated to run! There is such a good feeling when you finish! Awesome job on the third place, that is impressive!
