Your gggrandpa's brother was taken prisoner in that war. His name was Laban Patton. They had him listed as a deserter but he was then rescued from a prison he had been kept in.
The photo was great to see. Maybe this was where he fought. Isn't it strange to have a Laban in the family and in Arkansas in the 1840's. Gmaw D
