Discovery Park

A couple weeks ago, the boys and I crossed "Discovery Park" off our Live List.  We've been wanting to see this park for a long time!  This park really is incredible.

The boys were in absolute heaven.  I was a little paranoid because once the kids go in, it's nearly impossible to find or see them again.  I was wishing we had waited to go after Tony was home from work so I had an extra set of eyes on the boys.  We still had fun though :)

We'll be back again soon!

Family Date Night

Joey's favorite thing at the museum- the outdoor "diggers"

Last month we went on a family date!  We took the boys to Thanksgiving Point's Curiosity Museum and out for dinner and dessert.  It was a big night!

We played outside at the playground.  Joey loved the diggers and Charlie loved the zipline.  We came inside and just played around in the jungle area.  The baby area is darling and Peter loves the little slide!

We ended the night at the Ice Cream Shoppe and had milkshakes and sundaes.  We love Thanksgiving Point!  It's such a great family place.  Unfortunately this night has made our usual kiddie ice cream cones here not quite as exciting.  The boys now ask for milkshakes or sundaes :)

Sure love these sweet boys of mine.

What's Going On Around Here....

 Peter loves books.
He's usually crawling into one of the kid rooms to read them.

The past couple of weeks have been a little rough with colds, croup, ear infections, etc.  We seem to be almost over it and we can't wait!

Tony is doing well at work.  We attended the company's dinner this past month and had a lot of fun! It's always fun putting names to faces that I hear about at home.  Tony has this whole other life at work and I love when I get a better glimpse into it!

The boys are still into dress up.  I feel like I'm constantly turning police officer, Captain America and transformer costumes right side out and on little bodies.

Peter is very good at climbing the stairs!  He hasn't figured out how to climb down them and it's a miracle he hasn't fallen down yet.  (knock on wood!)

I'm staying busy with primary, girls nights and sweeping up the never ending crumbs on the kitchen floor!  Being a mom is the best.

We've loved our aquarium passes this year!  The boys went together a few weekends ago and had a blast.  They brought these fun pictures home :)

Joey is our puzzle master!  He loves them and it's so fun watching his little mind work when he's putting one together.

We're back to going to the library once a week and the boys love it.  We get a huge bag of books and a couple movies to watch each time.  It's a highlight of our week for sure.

Charlie is starting to read!  My sister in law recommended this book to me and we have had so much success.  He is doing so well!  We work on it everyday before the boys can watch any shows.  Not sure if TV is the best motivator but it seems to be working well for us!  The other day Charlie told me he is "very proud of himself" for working hard and learning new words.  I love spending this time together each day.
Side note- Kindergarten registration is this week.  Yikes!  My baby is getting so big!

Peter turns 1 this month!  How has it been a year since he has joined our family?!  This year has flown by, yet it feels like he's been with us forever.
