After climbing on tractors and pulling a screaming Joey off the tractors (he did NOT want to leave), we headed to the animals.
I wouldn't be surprised if we all smell like poop after being there. I'm a mom now and can say words that used to creep me out...poop, stinky, poopy. The word "panties" still grosses me out so I guess I just need to have a girl to get over that one.
Charlie has a thing for cows. There are cows by our house and he loves to look for them when we drive anywhere.
If they aren't outside he says, "cows in house. eating."
me:"what are they having for lunch?"
C:"macaroni & cheese"
Today he got to PET a cow! It was very exciting.
The funnest part of the fair, in my opinion, was holding the baby chicks. Joey was going crazy and I had to be careful not to let him pet for too long. He would have squeezed those poor things to death! Charlie was very sweet and careful with them.
So happy to be petting the animals!
"hi mom!"
my 3 favorite boys in the whole world
Of course we had to get some fair food and what is "fair food" more than a funnel cake? Well, that and shaved ice. Tigers blood is my favorite and reminds me of going to my brother's baseball games.
We plopped down on a bench and enjoyed our treats. We debated getting a deep fried snickers bar. Did we want to eat it? No, but were more just curious about what that would even look like. Our curiosity did not win so we'll have to give that a try next year. Maybe.
The best part of Charlie's night? Probably getting this free stick fan and sheriff's sticker from the police booth. He's sleeping with fan in his bed right now. He wanted it right next to him. I love how the smallest things can be so exciting to little kids.
Fun night!
